Hi Melaney mcshan and I’m sort of a newbie in this process. I attended one of Tony Robbin and Dean Groziosi’s virtual programs on using life experience to teach other people or to support other people going through the same thing and so I have so many things that I feel like I could contribute, but I’m gonna start out with grand-parenting group and I invite anybody that wants to or that might’ve been a grandparent to a single parent family to join us and help us navigate through. I have done a lot of different kinds of art and I’ve been a counselor and teacher. I love Art. I love creating. my best friend does gel printing and mixed media work but she’s really not wanting to add another app to her phone lol she’s probably would never get involved in a group, but I would love for her to because she’s very creative. But I’m just really excited about seeing what other people are doing and I know it’ll inspire me to make the time to be creative. It’s always a help in life to exercise that side of our personality whether we’re writers or visual artists or actors or whatever it is; singers, songwriters, but it’s all art and I think everybody has a gift somewhere.

My bachelors degree is in fine arts BFA. I wanted to be an art therapist, but back then it was a hard road to find a Masters program because there were only a few in this country. So I just took art and psychology and got my Masters in Counseling M.Ed. and got my LPC. I couldn't call myself an art therapist without the license though. Now they have online programs to get "certified" as an art therapy practitioner. Such a jump. I thengot a PhD in psychology, but no internship opportunities where I live and I wasn't free to move because I had two children still at home and a husband. Its been over ten years so I'm not sure it would be so easy to find a clinical psychology internship.
