🧠 Neuroscience Fact Your brain is constantly receiving information from your body. This process is called interoception—your ability to sense your heartbeat, breath, tension, fatigue, comfort, and emotion. Research suggests that stronger interoceptive awareness is associated with greater emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience. This is also found in the 5 min listening method-where we actively “listen” to the body, a process where you move and breathe and tell your body “I am here to listen to you.” You follow your impulses to move, you follow your breath, you let your body DIRECT you. You can start with 5 min and see how it feels… ✨ Reflection what are the characteristics of the relationship you currently have with your body? And what do you hope to build more of as you practice listening to your body with compassion?

What Is Your Nervous System Telling You Today?
Take a moment and look at the chart. Without overthinking it, which state feels closest to your experience right now? 💛 Dorsal Vagal(Hopeless, numb, exhausted, disconnected) 🧡 Fight or Flight(Anxious, irritated, frustrated, worried) 🩵 Freeze(Wired but tired, burnt out, chronically fatigued) Or maybe you’re experiencing a blend of more than one. Remember: the goal is not to judge yourself or “fix” anything. The first step is simply noticing. Reflection Questions 1. Which state do you relate to most today? 2. What clues did your body give you? 3. What is one small act of support you can offer yourself today? For me, listening begins with curiosity:“What is my body trying to communicate right now?” Share below if you’d like. There are no wrong answers here. We’re practicing awareness, not perfection. 💛

💛 Dorsal vagal today, chronic pain is exceptionally bad today. Every joint hurts so bad. I changed my plans, I am resting and pacing myself and more importantly, giving myself grace to truly rest today.
