Hello everyone, I am currently studying Carl Jung's concept of the 'Shadow', which I find quite intriguing. Carl says that one should be aware of his shadow and integrate it into his life. I am aware that I have a shadow, but I am now confused as to how to identify which behavior is of the shadow and, after identifying it, how one can integrate or embrace it in his life.

For me it’s this quote from Seneca: “I judge you unfortunate because you have never lived through misfortune. You have passed through life without an opponent – no one can ever know what you are capable of, not even you.” – Seneca. A lot of the hardships in life shape you to be the person you are, and what seems like a bad thing often turns out to have been a blessing.
