Question of The Day
BP during well check is 166/101. What is your next step?

@Nikkie Miller I would recheck at appointment. Have them go home and monitor BP for a week and reach out to me with those readings. Then evaluate off those readings. Depending on readings at home depends on my treatment. Lifestyle modifications for sure, DASH diet, exercise, no alcohol or tobacco/nicotine. If readings are above 140 begin medication. Depending on PMHx would look at thiazide, CCB, ACE-I/ARB.
Valvular Disease
Here is the handout for valvular disease and what each sound is telling you! Let me know if you use it. Please leave feedback or other topic suggestions. This was also added to the Exam Prep Tab in the "Classroom"

This is a tough one… either does it radiate OR is the pain associated with exertion? I wanna ask all kinds of questions!
