Back-to-School.
Back-to-school season in Houston has been really busy! Between buying school supplies, backpacks, and clothes, meeting the teachers and other parents, and getting the kids ready for their first day, my schedule has been completely turned upside down. I’d love to hear from other parents who have gone through these busy two weeks. Thank you!

@Emily Storey Thank you. For me, the most time-consuming part has been shopping for all the school supplies and clothes, and then getting the kids back into a new routine. It has definitely been a busy couple of weeks.
The Peak District
I'm having a little day trip with @Jack Hastings at the Peak District today. Here are some photos! Do you have a protected natural area in your country? Can you tell me about it?

It looks like a beautiful place! 😊 Yes, we have protected natural areas in Texas, such as Big Thicket National Preserve. It’s a great place to enjoy nature and go hiking.

@Emily Storey Yes, definitely! People go there for sightseeing, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful nature. 😊

Did you get to see the eclipse?
I'm actually quite curious about where all of our lovely students are. Were you all in the path of the eclipse or did you miss it? Or perhaps you were too busy to stop and take a look? Let me know in the comments!

I didn’t get to see the eclipse. The partial solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, occurred in the U.S. during the early afternoon, from approximately 11:34 a.m. ET to 2:52 p.m. ET, with peak coverage around 12:52 p.m. ET. However, it was only visible in parts of the northern and northeastern states, so I missed it here. I thought it was mostly visible in Europe. 😊
