Totally agree. Working on it now.
🌿 Sunday Reset
The blank page will still be there Monday. The scene you're stuck on won't solve itself because you stared at it for six hours today. Creativity isn't a faucet you can leave running. It needs refilling. Read something unrelated. Take a walk without your phone. Sit with your own thoughts instead of your characters'. The best ideas often arrive when you stop demanding them. Drop in the comments how you're planning to rest today.

Got a writer's group every Sunday. Putting in the work.
Why Are You Here? (Be Honest)
Not the easy answer. The real one. Are you here to finish a script? Land a paid gig? Build a network? Learn the business? Or are you here hoping that proximity to other writers will somehow make the work easier? Here's the thing: making it as a screenwriter or filmmaker requires you to be brutally honest with yourself about where you are, what you actually want, and what's actually standing in your way. Not the story you tell yourself. The truth. The community can give you feedback, accountability, and connections. But it can't want your career for you. It can't do the writing when you don't feel like it. It can't pitch your project or build your portfolio. So tell us — **what do you actually want to gain from being here?** And more importantly, **are you willing to do what it takes to get it?**

What Are You Working On Right Now?
Let’s do a quick check-in. What project are you currently developing or writing? A feature? Pilot? Short film? Web series? Drop it below 👇 and share one thing you’re currently working on. Also, what do you need help with right now? • Logline • Structure • Character development • Worldbuilding• Production planning • Something else? Sometimes one small piece of guidance can unlock the next step in your project. Share what you're building and where you're stuck — the community (and I) can help you move it forward. — Mel

Pitching: What Makes Someone Want to Read Your Script?
The writers who get script requests understand something important: they know how to communicate the hook and major selling points of their story. When managers request scripts, it’s usually because the writer presented: - A clear concept - A compelling hook - An intriguing angle that made them think, “I can sell this.” Before you send your script into the world, ask yourself: - What makes someone want to make this project? - What makes someone want to watch this story? Managers need to know they can sell the writer and the script. Producers need to see a project they can develop and produce. Studios and streamers need stories that will draw audiences. If you can clearly communicate the hook, stakes, and appeal of your story, your chances of getting reads — and opportunities — increase dramatically. Clarity sells the story. — Mel
