Hello I'm Maxine, joint founder of Soulsisters with Carole... Let me start this post of by introducing myself. My journey with spirituality started when I backpacked around SE Asia when I was 21 (37 years ago). I had a number of experiences that confirmed to me that there was a higher power at play in my life. Then when I was 26 I trained as a transpersonal psychotherapist and the foundation of my training, was a core premise that "Everything we need is already inside of us, we are already whole and complete. Since then I have studied a variety of modalities, Somatics, Energy Healing, HeartMath, NLP, Breathwork, yoga and I have come full circle, to Kabbalah and the ancient wisdom of the sages. This picture is my sacred space, nature, the woods where I walk my dog every day and where I connect with the Light, (Creator), say my prayers and feed my Soul. One of the deepest reasons I felt called to co-create this community with Carole is because she has been my true SoulSister for over 30 years. We can go for long stretches without seeing each other, yet the moment we reconnect, it feels like no time has passed at all. Our connection has always been rooted in acceptance, zero judgment, deep love, compassion, and so much laughter. Carole carries a truly special energy. If you already know her, you’ll understand — her presence is warm, uplifting, and beautifully infectious, radiating light in a way that makes people feel instantly safe, seen, and held. We are here to share our light with you, and to empower you to let your light shine in the world.
