Hello! My name is Máximo Klyetsun, a Portuguese pianist of the new generation. I began piano at six, inspired by my sister’s violin studies, and quickly developed a deep musical sensitivity and discipline. I hold an Artist Diploma from the École Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot, awarded Très Bien avec Félicitations du Jury, as my teacher Marian Rybicki and continue my studies at the University of Minho with Angelo Martingo. My past professors were: private lessons with Marian Pivka/ Moscow Conservatory student of Vera Gornostaeva and in the conservatory Bomfim with Professor Maria Hoffman. I have performed widely across Europe and internationally—in cities such as Paris, Bern, Lisbon, Madrid, Rome, Porto, Vienna, and Nashville—at major festivals and concert series, including the International Ibiza Music Festival, ANIMATO series, and a live recital at Casa da Música broadcast on Antena 2. Alongside solo performances, I play chamber music regularly and have collaborated with orchestras including the Orquestra Sinfónica Esproarte and Bomfim Orchestra. My recordings include an album for the 150th anniversary of Rachmaninoff and for the Mostra Musical Eixo Atlântico. I have won over 50 international prizes, including First Prize at Prix du Piano Bern, Second Prize and the Audience Prize at the International ANIMATO Piano Competition in Paris (jury presided by Dang Thai Son), and Second Prize with the Best Portuguese Pianist Award at the Viseu International Piano Competition.I’m honored to participate in the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition 2026. I am the first Portuguese pianist ever to reach these achievements. Beyond performing, I’ve had masterclasses with many internationally renowned pianists and pedagogues, including Vladimir Viardo, Arie Vardi, Jean Saulnier, Artur Pizarro, Milana Chernyavska, among others, all of whom have shaped my musical voice. In this private community, I’ll share not only performances, but behind-the-scenes insights: how I practice, prepare for competitions, travel, and develop my artistry.
