Matching LUFS for album masters
Hey everyone, I'd seriously appreciate if any of you could give me some advice on matching loudness for different songs on the same album. I've been mixing and mastering an album for the first time for a close friend/collaborator and while the songs all sound solid individually, we've found that they have different perceived loudness. Here is a folder with the single version masters, but I'm about to do a remaster for the album that's dropping in a couple of weeks. Wanting to get everything nice and consistent without compromising quality at all. Any advice? Here are the LUF readings for the different tracks. I know they don't all have to be exactly the same, but I'd like to get them closer. Lovely Lies -10.3 Breakaway -9.7 Blessings -8.7 Steppin On Love -6 Lovely -7.6 Pressure -10.3 Trippin Alright -6.4 Wave Chasin -9 Outta Sight -8.1 https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/10Cxzt1yFKUwBUOW9BCvRpJfCR_huU0Qb

@David Harrison Going through the time alignment you mentioned on my other post as well. No shortcuts 🤘 I'll post here when I've got a new Master.

@Jason Tufts Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely clean up the reverb and try to bring the drumkit forward. We were going for a rich, washy, meditative sound, but I agree that the reverb was too heavy handed.
Feedback
Hey everyone, been a long time since I've been active at all in this group. Got started about 3 1/2 years ago and life got in the way for awhile. I'm back and looking for some guidance and feedback on some recent masters I've done for a client. I've been working hard on honing my craft and hopefully arriving at a professional sound. This single will be releasing soon. I'm only about 95% satisfied with it, and am not totally sure what's missing. The vocals were recorded in an untreated room on a Rode NT1, and the instrumentation was made from samples. If this is sort of the ceiling of quality that I can reach with the materials given to me, then so be it, but I wanted to see if anyone had any advice! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ipspoj4lbhPrxihwDkKhsh5VgeP1Gi5l/view?usp=drive_link

@Phillip Patterson I got some other pretty good feedback on that track that I'm in the process of implementing, and I think we're gonna put the track on the backburner while the artist goes through the proper channels to get sample clearances. However, I do have another track that I'd love your feedback on! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ThI4kowuX1rXkN6hcIy7RxMU4-d-Jssq/view?usp=drive_link
