Is "data entry" a good idea? Hi, I'm returning to online digital freelancing after 25 years and I am ready to start with simple services. I'm thinking of offering data entry/proofreading type of work. I have been away from paid online work for years because I was doing manual labour in various industries. I understand computers rather deeply but will need to retrain myself for new online services because I haven't used any newer versions of deeper toolsets. Meanwhile I would like to try to make my first $100 offering the most basic virtual assistance, by trying to take the low hanging fruit jobs such as data shuffling. For example placing texts into a shopify store, gathering online information, linking spreadsheets etc. I used to do full stack website design when Flash ActioScript was around, and the first javascripting between 1994 and 2004. I haven't done that since. I understand simpler programming languages such as python and used to do motion graphics video editing and tons of various software over the years on my personal computer. I also spent a couple years in Cyber Security with basic certifications but have no current portfolios. If anyone knows what I can offer, I am a speedy learner with a need to succeed.
