How AI Helps Me Write Posts People Actually Want to Read
Got a bunch of messages about the writing style in my prohibition posts earlier this year. Specifically this one People loved the conversational, punchy approach. The short paragraphs that keep you reading. The stories that actually make sense. Time to come clean about something... AI helps me write a lot of this stuff. Not in the way you might think. It's not writing FOR me. It's helping me get better at expressing what's already in my head. Here's how it actually works: I'll have an idea or story I want to share. Like the prohibition speakeasy concept for traffic. But when I sit down to write, it comes out clunky. Too corporate. Too boring. So I work with AI to refine it. Back and forth until it sounds like me having a conversation with you. Not like some marketing robot trying to sell you something. The AI helps me: - Break up long paragraphs into digestible chunks - Find better ways to explain complex ideas - Create hooks that actually grab attention - Keep the flow moving so people don't get bored It's like having a writing coach who never gets tired of helping me improve. What it doesn't do: - Come up with my ideas or stories - Make up fake case studies or results - Change what I'm trying to say It just helps me say it better. More clearly. More engagingly. More like how I'd actually talk to you. The prohibition posts? That analogy came from me. The case studies? All real examples from our community. The conversational tone? That's my voice, just refined. AI just helped me put it together in a way that doesn't suck. Honestly, it's made me a way better communicator. And it's helping me create content people actually want to read. Would anyone be interested in seeing a real world example of what this looks like? I could record a Loom for ya. -Jeff P.S. The best part is I'm learning from the process. The more I work with AI to refine my writing, the better I get at doing it myself.

🔥 Part 3: Get People to Say YES - Make Them the HERO
Second thing every influencer wants... They want to look like a hero to their audience. Not just some random person pitching someone else's stuff. A legitimate hero. Here's what most people get wrong... They approach influencers asking them to promote "my amazing product." Wrong move. You need to make THEM the hero of the story. Here's how Travis does it... "Travis normally charges $25,000 advances for this, but for YOUR people he's waiving any advances and you never pay a dime until money hits your Stripe or Paypal account." Notice what happened there? He made it look like the influencer negotiated some special deal. Like they had insider connections. Like they were looking out for their audience. That's hero status right there. Another angle... You can make them look like a hero by solving a problem their audience has that the influencer doesn't help with. Every influencer has gaps. Things their audience needs that they don't provide. When you fill those gaps... You're making them look like they have the complete solution. Hero status again. Compare that to the typical approach... "Hey, will you promote my course? It's really good and I'll give you 50% commission." Boring. Generic. Makes them look like just another affiliate. Nobody wants that. Here's the psychology... Influencers care more about their reputation than money. If promoting your stuff makes them look good... they'll do it all day long. But if it makes them look like just another salesperson... They'll pass. So here's what you do... Always position your offer so the influencer looks like the hero who made it happen. "I've never offered this to anyone else, but for your people..." "Normally this costs X, but I'm giving your audience..." "I don't usually do this, but since you asked..." You're not just asking them to promote something. You're giving them a story that makes them look good. That's the difference between getting ignored and getting results. Part 4 drops next week.

I realize that this is as much Bob Burg Go Giver stuff as much as Dale Carnegie How To Win Friends and Influence People. Dale talks about leveraging someone else's authority/reputation to get what you want (because they don't believe you or even when you are an expert) And Bob is saying it's giving without being aimed at a "win-win" situation as a focus (or stance). Just realized that when reading.
