From Views to Opportunities - The Real Social Media Game | Call #12
We use social media as a tool to reach a specific end goal. Whether thatโs a job at a production house or - as in my case - securing a life working in the field with wildlife, your content should be your resume. ๐กIโm a firm believer that keeping your objectives front-of-mind increases your chances of success. Call it manifestation or visualization; I call it When you know what you want, you recognize opportunities the moment they arise. This mindset should dictate your creative process. During our last call, I shared my dream work currently happening in Papua. I would like you to think hard about your "Big Dream." Once you define it, every post will naturally steer your ship toward that destination.๐ข Take this example: Youโre a wildlife cameraman/-woman posting a reel of Birds of Paradise and canโt decide on a visible line of the description [๐๐]. 1. "This is why they are called Birds of Paradise." 2. "This is why I became a wildlife cameraman/-woman." Both good, both building anticipation, but only the second communicates clearly that you are a professional camera operator and might be picked up by potential recruiters. These small subtleties, accumulated over time, are what transform a hobbyist into a pro.
