This week, I worked with my boy Archie on a task that, if I’m being completely honest, I feel he isn’t quite ready for just yet. But that’s what this Challenge is all about — stepping outside our comfort zones, giving things a go, and learning along the way. ❤️ This is the best we achieved from our week of recall training, and that’s okay! Archie and I will get there, one step at a time, with consistency, patience and lots of practice. 🐾❤️ A huge thank you to our amazing team leader @Matthew Marsh , for your uplifting support, encouragement and guidance throughout this Challenge. It means more than you know! 🙏❤️ The intention of this Challenge was to prepare our dogs and us owners for the Blue Mile Walk, but for me, it has become so much more than that. I’ve learnt things about myself that I never expected. I’ve discovered areas where I still need to grow and improve, even in things I thought I was already doing well. I’ve learnt to be more patient, more consistent, and to recognise that this journey is just as much about me as it is about Archie. I love my boy more than words can express, and all I want is to give him the absolute best life possible. ❤️ Through Walkys, I’m learning how to do exactly that — not by expecting perfection from either of us, but by continuing to learn, grow and become better together. I am so incredibly grateful to be part of this wonderful dog training academy. Walkys is so much more than a place to train our dogs; it’s a community that supports, encourages and inspires us to become better dog owners and better versions of ourselves. ❤️🐾 Archie and I might not be where we want to be just yet, but we’re on our way — and that’s what matters! 🐶💙🐾 @Loma Simmons
