Hey @Alex Sumerall - I wonder about tying in timber frame to a foundation. I've seen the Mr Chickadee woodworker channel on YouTube, where he uses a perfectly scribed timber to a stone boulder... I don't know how he gets away with a loose stone foundation (over compressed gravel), maybe he is far enough in the country! If we build we will likely go with a light straw clay wall combined with a timber frame, or double wall structure... we don't have any property yet, so it's going to be a while. Matthew
