What’s a win that happened for you or your patient this month? I’ll go first… my husband had Achilles surgery two weeks ago. He was released to start PT and 25% weight-bearing!

Had a pitcher return to sustained pain free throwing after 2 years of chronic anterior shoulder pain, while avoiding surgical intervention in the process.

About Me
Hi everyone, my name is Ryan, I am currently an assistant athletic trainer at Colorado State University. Previously I have been an athletic trainer at Emporia State Univeristy, and got my undergraduate degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Currently I am transitioning into working with two teams I have very little knowledge of, so I am trying to grow as an AT to properly provide services to them. In general, I am always looking to grow and learn as an AT and find new and better ways to help and benefit my student athletes.

@Jenna Doggett @Ryan Glackman I’m late on this one but I was the Head AT Northwest Missouri State. Great to see former MIAA ATs
Interesting Case
I recently had a private client with a Subtalor Joint Coalition Resection. Came to me 4 months P/O still having issues. Strength and ROM are all good. Increased hyper pronation on operative side. Also, decent true leg length discrepancy. Interested to see if anyone has seen one before? What were outcomes, perils or tips?

AT Stories
I’m excited to see this thread. In Undergrad, in exercise science we had to do 40, 50 yard dashes. I was racing against a classmate, I tried to push and I felt my hamstring just pop. Luckily we were on the track and I was wearing long sleeves, but I ate it. Fell right on my face. Had to hear it for weeks. Didn’t you stretch?? Of course I didn’t. To boot, this is the day before my first NFL internship. I was in the parking lot of the meadowlands doing hip spicas and compressions wraps so I could try and walk normal. If anyone has done an NFL internship, we were always told you run everywhere. So of course we are in the indoor facility and a player asked me for something we didn’t have at practice. So I had to run/ limp to storage to get something. Luckily only a few of the guys on IR saw me.

@Jenna Doggett I love that! Start it!!! This one was a toss up between this or when I tripped over a kicking Tee on National Television. I was so happy I didn’t end up on a not too 10 lol
Ouch
When you tell your athletes to be careful and you destroy your finger lifting weights. Nail was taken off and a small stitch in the nail bed for the win. Easy fix but sucks because now athletes are making fun of me to be careful!
Ouch
