Help me improve ...
My first ever realism piece. Greek statue. Thoroughly enjoyed completing this. I used a 9CM and 1 RL. 100% black and 20% greywash.

@Che Crook Hi Che, I haven't drawn in a long time, but certainly found this enjoyable. I found understanding how the ink would hold in the fake skin the most difficult. Not sure if this is correct, but I found myself breaking down the image into sections, like a 2cm by 2cm box, and then focussed in the shading in that area. Only once I finished did I view it as a whole piece, then touched up areas and brought them together.

Critique please
So, tattoo on Mum yesterday (ghost) and swallow on myself today. I really struggled with the ghost (only second time on another person). The ink kept leaking, wasn't saturating into the skin properly and I felt so nervous. I felt out of my depth and knew I had to immediately go back to fake skin and do linework again, again and again to get the need depth, voltage and hang correct. I was doing linework at 8v on fake skin, but yesterday and today, reduced it to 6v and the linework was so much more consistent. Is this normal? Tattoo today felt better. Shading left to do. I'll do more sessions on fake skin before tattooing on really skin again.

Crikey! Didn't expect so much detail! I really, really appreciate you! So, the diamond, I initially tried a RS for lining, hated it and went over with a 9RL (7.5v). The lion, 9RL again, but at 8v for the linework. Shading - Diamond, 1RL, 5v for stipple shading. Shading - Lion, 3RL, 5v too for similar approach. Some of the shading was used with a RS, but again, didn't like the feel of it.
