Weekly Wins! 🏆
I love sharing wins as we reach the end of each week. Most of the work I do is multi-day projects - mainly sleeves and half sleeves, with the occasional leg piece. As much as I love finishing these tattoos, there's always a bittersweet feeling when a project comes to an end. Over multiple sessions, I get to know my clients really well, and I genuinely enjoy the whole process. But the best part is seeing them leave excited with a finished piece they'll wear for life. One thing I've learned is that as one project wraps up, another needs to be beginning. Keeping that flow of work going is an important part of building a sustainable tattoo career. This week I finished one large project and brought two sleeves to their final session. That's a win for my clients, who are excited to complete their tattoos, and a win for me because two new clients have come into my world at exactly the right time - both looking to start brand new sleeves! Your turn! 👇 What wins did you have this week? They don't have to be huge. Maybe you finished a tattoo, booked a client, practised your drawing, posted consistently, or simply stayed disciplined. Every step forward counts.

Cat portrait (with a dark twist!) 🎨
When my client Robert reached out about doing a memorial portrait for his cat Lucy, I had no idea where we were about to go! We talked about his ideas & went down a conversation about sci-fi that led him to explaining his love for HP Lovecraft. We loked at images & he decided he would like her morphing into a sci-fi tentacle creature inspired by his favourite author. I love this mix - his love of his cat, with darker elements that resonate with him. He created a reference using chat gpt, that I cut & paste, then edited into a better design. We completed this over 2 1/2 sessions using mainly opaque greys with just a hint of colour. If you have any questions about my process let me know! I’d love to see what you guys have been working on lately! You can add photos to the comments or create your own post & select the category ‘Art & tattooing’ as you post it. ✌️
