šŸ“ What season are you in right now?"
We all plan our weeks thinking those daily tasks build toward something bigger. But here's what most people miss: your weekly routine should CHANGE based on where you are in your cycle. I've got students 4 weeks out from their 4th-6th degree black belt pre-evaluation. They test once a year - that's it. So right now? Their training, eating, and recovery look completely different than they did 3 months ago. Same goal. Different season. Different execution. You're in one of four places: STARTING - Just beginning a new push toward something. High energy, lots of planning, building momentum. STUCK - You've been grinding but progress feels invisible. The middle sucks. The novelty is gone. APPROACHING - You can see the finish line. The goal is real now. Time to adjust, intensify, or maintain. SUSTAINING - No specific deadline. No competition. Just showing up daily and maintaining the discipline. Building identity through consistency, not chasing a trophy. Here's what I need to know in the comments: 1. Which season are you in - Starting, Stuck, Approaching, or Sustaining? 2. If you have a specific goal/deadline, what is it? 3. Does your current weekly routine match where you actually are, or are you just running the same play on repeat? Drop your answers. Let's see where everyone's at.

Currently in the approaching season. 4 weeks out from Pre test for my Master testing. Such a big goal to think about. I distinctly remember my first ā€œworldā€ tournament that I took Dylan to…You, Jason, were testing for your Master Rank. Such a surreal thing for me to look at and think that I am right there, testing for that very rank. When I watched you test, I remember saying to myself that I could ā€œneverā€ do that! Now I am!! So I’m pushing hard these next 4 weeks to ensure that I’m ready and at my best when I have some of the people I look up to and admire, judging me and determining if I’m ready to test in July. After my cruise, Diet locked in, Training Locked in, breathwork locked in, Now is the time for me to push and be the top of my game.

1)Coffee 2)Usually skip breakfast, I feel better when I do 3) meats!! I try to eat as close to carnivore as possible 4) music!! 5) pre workout makes me jittery… I can’t focus as well! 6) commercial. I’d love to workout at home, but can’t stay disciplined at home- if I go to a gym my focus is working out. 7). Early bed, early rise. Bed by 10, up around 4am, 5am at the latest

@Denise Fields so happy to have such an amazing training partner with the same goal in mind!! Welcome to the grind!! Can’t wait until we both crush this pretest/test!!!
Ever feel like you're running around like a chicken with your head cut off?
Same things on the list. Same fires to put out. And somehow the stuff that actually matters keeps getting pushed to "later." Stephen Covey nailed it in 7 Habits: There's a difference between what's urgent and what's important. Urgent screams at you. Important whispers. Training? Important. Not urgent. Eating right? Important. Not urgent. Breathwork? Important. Not urgent. Nobody's going to call you in a panic because you skipped your workout. But skip it enough and everything else starts breaking down. The fix isn't willpower. It's deciding in advance. When you plan your week before it starts, you protect what matters. When you wait and react? Urgent wins. Every time. That's what Foundation Challenge is really about. You already decided what's important. Now defend it. šŸ‘‡ Two questions for you today: 1. What's something important but NOT urgent you're protecting this week? 2. Do you plan ahead — or do you figure it out as you go? Drop it below. Let's start the week with intention.

@Jason Reed keeping up with breath work on the balcony of our ship room. Getting lots of steps in walking the ship and the ports!! Not at all watching what I eat or drink…I will buckle down when I get back on diet. Enjoying my time with Katie on our ten year anniversary trip!!
šŸ† Win Wednesday: What Negotiation Did You Shut Down?
The quiet negotiations. The ones nobody sees. The ones that slowly drain confidence if you let them. Today = a win. Big or small šŸ’Ŗ What negotiation did you shut down? Examples: - Got up when the alarm went off ā° - Trained when it would’ve been easier to skip šŸ‹ļø - Ate clean when cravings hit 🄩 - Made the call you’ve been avoiding šŸ“ž - Hit your ONE habit for the Foundation Challenge šŸ“… Reply with one sentence. That’s enough. About 25 days to the finish line. The real win = you’re still here šŸ†
