Is this possible?
What do you guys do about this square? Sand it down too? Or is it supposed to be hazy?

There was a recall. I did a GMC Terrain a couple of months ago. There was an issue that Keat mentioned above. Kind of a PITA to work around but it’s doable

What are y'all quoting for F-150s? Through the search function I’ve learned that I’d rather have a root canal than deal with these. I am being tested, I keep getting Kia’s, Fords and Chevys. What I would do for a Honda or Toyota lol. Should I walk from these or what should I quote? Pics attached.

@Andrew Hamilton sold the job for $225 and they didn’t even blink. Set for Saturday or Sunday just waiting for confirmation. Now I have to actually pull it off!

@Cody Simmons I think I started at 400 grit and worked my way up. Clients were so pleased the gave me a $25 tip. Then after seeing the headlights restored it made the fog lights stick out like sore thumbs and they asked me to come back the next day and do those. Did those for $40 but they tipped me $10. Ended up being a $300 ticket.
Thoughts?
These are bad , thinking of getting myself some 3M gold to fix these, haven’t used it. What’s yall suggestions to remove those scratches, and the already protectant. I’m going to be using new ceramic.

@Brenden LeMaster The brand 3M. Search 3M gold sanding discs and you'll see what he's talking about.
Water/rain exposure with stay clear
I know the rule of thumb is generally 24 hours for washing it after restoration but I have a job Saturday and we’re getting rain in our area. The client has a garage that I’ll be doing the restoration in but do I need to tell them not to drive the vehicle until it stops raining? Or does the 24 hour rule only apply to washing? I know I butchered what I was trying to say but any advice is appreciated!

@Christopher Stevens I’ll keep that info in my back pocket for another situation but we ended up just moving it to Sunday.

@Richard Vallejos How quick or how long I guess, does it take to cure with the light?
Did I just find the Holy Grail of headlight restoration?
I paid $135 for both at home depot. The PackOut system is incredible. I have used them for years. Saw this and figure they would be great. I broke the tool box I had from amazon so hopefully this lasts longer.

Looks like good stuff. I have the Craftsman Versastack system at Lowe’s is almost exactly the same. Many different sizes and configurations and you can avoid the Milwaukee tax.
