@Russ Crowley Exactly mate There’s always going to be a reason to put it off. The biggest step is just getting started even if it’s small. Today is the day! 👊🥊
Quick question about boxing for beginners
Subject: Quick question about boxing for beginners Hey Fight Camp Champion Quick question for you... What if you could transform from complete boxing novice to confidently throwing proper combinations in just 6 weeks? And what if you could do it WITHOUT: Feeling embarrassed in a crowded boxing gym Needing to already be in shape Having to figure everything out on your own Risking injury from improper technique I've just refined my beginner-focused boxing program after helping another complete newcomer go from zero experience to proper form yesterday. The transformation in his posture and confidence after just one session was remarkable - shoulders back, chin up, and a smile that said "I actually belong here." My unique approach breaks down boxing fundamentals into simple, manageable steps that build both skill and confidence simultaneously. Would a private, structured program like this be something you'd be interested in exploring? Reply with "BOXER" if you'd like to learn more about how we can get you throwing proper punches, feeling stronger, and walking with more confidence in just 6 weeks. Matt Boxing Coach

10 Minutes Mace (@ 24/25 rpm) & Ready for Mike Tyson
I wanted to pick-up the pace a little over my mace session from the other day… …with that 10-minute session, I added a 1-beat pause at the bottom of each rep–so each rep was 3 beats. Today, I went for the 1 rep every 2 beats, so 25 rpm. So, today: - 10-minute rope flow warmup - 10-minute 360s with a 4 kg mace, hand switch every minute @ 24/25 rpm) I really felt that one in the shoulders! (Could hardly lift my bottle to drink afterwards.) https://youtu.be/kgeBpYgtaDc Heavy Bag Structural Upgrade ======================== My 10mm carabiner replacement arrived yesterday, so I swapped it out with the existing 7 mm one. Had to get the angle grinder out, mind, as it was just a little too big for the chain links. But job done, and it should now be ready for Mike Tyson (let alone me). Lunch ===== Was one of the ‘Powerbowl’ meals I popped in the freezer last week: 270 g ground beef and bacon, a tonne of hot sauce, half a gup of grated gouda, and 3 boiled duck eggs. Couldn’t finish it all, so leftovers went in the fridge. (OMAD today.)

@Russ Crowley how good That’s a serious session mate no wonder you could barely lift the bottle afterwards! 💪🔥 And the heavy bag is definitely getting the Mike Tyson treatment now 😂 That 10 mm carabiner should have it ready for war thats great Powerbowl sounds bloody good too. Another solid session in the books mate! Keep smashing it 🥊

@Russ Crowley sounds great a 12kg mace is one hell of an “accidental” purchase! 😂💪 definitelybe well prepared if that competition opportunity ever comes knocking. Keep padding that bag out too mate great idea as it sounds like you’re building quite the setup! I got mine all finished ready for taking 1 on 1s and classes
Short session...
Not a great start to the week, but it happens. Bouyed by my 'success' (🤣) at doing 10-minutes unbroken with the 4 kg mace--hey, I couldn't even do 1 rep 6 weeks ago--I thought I'd try same with my 5 kg gada. Sadly, it was not to be as, 5 minutes in, something grip-related (I believe) went wrong and I felt a sharp pain in the index finger metacarpal on my left hand. Having memories of injuring my ring fing metacarpal some years ago, and which rears its head every now and then, I decided not to try and push on. As I was putting the equipment away, I decided to do a side-by-side comparison with 2 of the steel maces (4 kg and 6 kg) and the 5 kg gada. I might need to cut that handle down some this week as the extra length sure adds some! In other news, my back was really achy this morning (sign of a decent night's sleep for me), but the rope flow helped. Lunch was striploin, 3 boiled duck eggs, 3 rashers of bacon (too slow with the camera and I ate one 😀), an avocado, and my mayo/mustard/black pepper mix. Post-lunch walk: 15 minutes. https://youtu.be/nVr7m8hgaqo?si=uKUD6ClkhposyXZL

@Russ Crowley That’s still a pretty solid session! 💪 Going from not being able to do a single rep with the 4kg mace to 10 minutes unbroken in 6 weeks is seriously impressive. Good call stopping when the finger gave you that sharp pain definitely not worth turning a niggle into a proper injury mate. And that 5kg gada handle looks like it adds a surprising amount of difficulty too! 😂 Hope the finger settles quickly. The lunch sounds pretty damn good as well! 🥩🥑 You the man Russ
