After Much Thought...We're Moving!
Hey amazing parents!! 💛 Thank you for joining this space, for trusting the vision, and for showing up even when the community was just getting started. We came to Skool to launch this community during the summer, and a few weeks ago I knew that it is a time for a change. I want something more easy and seamless for the future of this group. So, I have an update that... We are moving The Parent Circle and the entire MyMenta Circle community to WhatsApp Communities!! Y'all, I actually created these communities back in 2022 😬 and was reminded that it's always best to let God lead you back to what He already established. This community should feel like more real conversations, not another platform to manage. WhatsApp is where most of us already are. It's immediate, warm, and personal and that's exactly the feel our circle deserves. The Skool group will be closing by October 1. The circle is moving somewhere better. I would love for you to come with us on The MyMenta Circle on WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/IVSbClvJUwf1jC7fCmQqP3 Inside you'll find The Parent Circle plus 7 dedicated future youth spaces built around the MyMenta framework: Connection, Hope, Joy, Peace, Resilience, Self-Control, and Vitality. Same mission. Same heart. New home. For ease, you have been invited to the new home already! Thank you for being part of this from the beginning and can't wait to catch-up soon. With so much love and gratitude, Massa Saba Brown Founder, MyMenta | Creator, Take Our Kids Back™

Welcome to the circle @Nina Banza!! "Challenging" is such an honest word for where you are right now! What an achievement as a mother to have your child complete high school, and at the same time, that shift into young adulthood is not easy. You're in the right place. We're here for exactly this. If you'd ever like to hop on a complimentary intro call, just let me know. I would love to connect more personally and share some resources here for you. Thank you for being here and taking your child back!
A Reflective Question 💭
Think about your own childhood for a second. Was there someone outside your immediate household who made you feel seen? A relative, a neighbor, a teacher, a coach? Who was that person for you, and what did they do (or say) that stuck with you?

@Delphine Duncan Aw Delphine, that's real though. But look at you now. Kind of makes me love what we're building even more, tbh. Like maybe part of this is making sure the answer is different for the next generation. Love you, girl!

Wow @Nina Banza, this made me smile!! I pray that filled your mind and heart with beautiful memories. What a gift she was, being someone who saw your beauty before you could fully see it yourself, and who showed up for you. I really relate to this myself, and have someone like this who still checks on me (as recent as a few days ago). We can't take them for granted! That's exactly what this village looks like in action. Thank you for sharing.
Take Our Kids Back™: Know the Signs, Be the Circle Workshop
If I haven't shared this already...this is a safe space to post at all times of the day, night or week. As a parent (posting this late night on a Saturday), we get it in where we fit in so here goes! 😆 On Friday, September 19th, 11am–1pm EST, I'm joining forces with Jelisa Glanton, LCSW-C of Therapeutically Inclined for a virtual workshop built for anyone who shows up for a young person: parents, aunts, godparents, teachers, coaches — the whole village. Know the Signs, Be the Circle is about exactly that: learning to recognize when a young person is struggling, and understanding your role in the circle of protection around them. Because prevention is a job for all of us. What to expect: - Practical tools and scenarios for recognizing early warning signs in youth - Real conversation on how to show up, notice, and act - Space to ask questions and connect with others doing this work 📅 Friday, September 19 🕚 11am–1pm EST 💻 Virtual — pay-what-you-can Please join me, I'd love to have you there! Bring your questions, bring your village, and let's rebuild the circle around our teens together. Register here

Take Our Kids Back™: Know the Signs, Be the Circle Workshop
A New Name for the Tribe 🤍
I’m writing this late in the midnight hour because God is turning some things around! I have something exciting to share. I started The Parent Circle to provide a real landing for the busy mom (or dad) constantly in flight. And over these past months, something's become clear to me: it can’t just be us doing this work from the start. It's also the aunts who show up. The godparents who check in. The grandparents that help out. The teachers, church leaders, coaches, and mentors who notice when something's off. The neighbors who've become family. So I'm excited to share that The Parent Circle is becoming The MyMenta Circle. This will be the same community, same mission, same people, just expanded to reflect who's actually doing this work alongside you: the whole village. As the parent, you still set the tone. Now you can also add those who have an investment in your child too. Nothing about your membership changes. Same group, same posts, same conversations and same me but just a name that finally matches the fullness of who belongs here. So I need your help! Think about the people in your teen's life who care, who show up consistently, who'd benefit from being part of this circle to. Invite them in. The more of the village we gather, the stronger the circle around every child becomes. I’m grateful for you for being part of this from the beginning, and for growing this circle wider with me.
