Thanks! For some reason, chat wouldn't open in the replay...
Hey everyone, I wanted to share a project I’m really proud of.
One of my artist clients and friends, @Canyon Cottle, just released his debut album, and it’s been about a year in the making. I met Canyon at a local open mic back in my hometown and was immediately struck by his songwriting, voice, and sincerity. At the time, he didn’t even have music on Spotify yet, and now here we are with a full album out in the world. This project has been a joy to work on. Canyon takes his craft seriously, puts in the work, and genuinely loves making music. He’s got big goals of touring, traveling, and continuing to grow as an artist, and this release is a huge step in that direction. If you’re into mountain folk / indie folk-pop vibes, I think you’ll really enjoy this one. And more than anything, I just want to give Canyon a public high-five because writing and recording an album is not easy, and seeing it through to the release takes commitment and heart. Congrats, Canyon. Proud of you, dude! Here’s the album if you want to check it out: https://open.spotify.com/album/0zIlKfRX6Eq11BlZBUsX2v

MIDI Drums
Hi All, I'm not a drummer. I've found loops and samples that I like for my genre but with time stretching and not being able to stem split my loops (older macbook), it takes a long time to program the drums from the loops into MIDI and then use the samples that I like. The loops are great for quick demo but not for the final production. If it was simply just replacing a kick that would be easy but I need to do all the cymbals and everything. Is there a way to speed this process up or a place that has great midi packs that I could use with my samples? Using Logic Pro.

Yurt Rock has TONS of drum samples, some are .wav split out into multitracks, some are actual midi kits you should be able to separate easily (at least I can in Ableton) into individual tracks. If you get some of their stuff and want it to be easy, make sure it's identified as "multitrack" or "DAW files". I often load a kit I like from Ableton, or Addictive Drums, or even EastwestProDrummer, then pull a DAW pattern from Yurt - then you have that as a basis, with separated tracks, so you can edit to your needs! They have some great stuff.
New from NAMM: FREE Beyerdynamic Headphone Lab
This was recently brought to my attention. Beyerdynamic Headphone Lab for Beyerdynamic headphones. https://north-america.beyerdynamic.com/headphone-lab?cid=hp_hl_icamp

Fun fact…
Fun fact: Australia's biggest export is boomerangs. It's also their biggest import. First Dad joke of 2026…
