Leadership Lessons for Students
🙋🏼‍♂️ Serving as chapter president for FPRA Orlando Area Chapter has been a wonderful experience and last night exemplified the great year we are having. 🙌 We hosted a reception for students and our members to network and share their experiences. 🚀 The conversations with students are always energizing and I appreciate the leadership our board takes in getting engaged with students.

Keep up the great work. They are lucky to have you at the helm.
Don't Doubt Yourself - Trust Begins with You!
Happy Wednesday! Let's keep moving forward. 👉 You can’t lead others if you don’t trust yourself. Self-trust isn’t about motivation—it’s about action. Start small: ✅ Keep a simple promise to yourself this week. ✅ Follow through, no excuses. ✅ Track your wins—confidence comes from consistency. When you trust yourself, others are able to trust you too. What promises are you making with yourself to become more trustworthy (worthy of trust)? 😳 👇🏻share in the comments below 💥

Definitely an area of focus for me. I've been trying to practice the W.A.Y.!? (Who Are you) principal which reminds me who I am, what I've accomplished, what I've been through, and what my strengths are. Helps me lock in on the non-negotiables in my life through trust and confidence.
Who is the mentor that opened the door for you into your career?
I'd say besides my parents there were two people that formed the foundation for the career I have and the work that I do. 🙌 First, Jimmie Ferrell ran the Student Center at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and was the director of the Orientation Team. Jimmie was committed to personal development and led our team in what would now be referred to as "servant leadership". That framework for giving has defined what I pursued professionally. 🙌 The second mentor is Randy Berridge. Randy was my boss at AT&T in my first internship. On. the first day he laid out his expectations for what I would learn and take away from the experience. The most important thing he shared was that: "your network fo relationships is the foundation of your success...and whatever you need in life, that is where you will draw on your success...so take care of it." 🔥 We were created for community and relationships. Both of these men poured into me and set the standard for building trust in everything they did. Share your experience with a mentor...👇🏻

Rod Caborn, former EVP of Public Relations (and overall PR G.O.A.T.) for Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russell (now MMGY Global). Not only did he teach me the ropes on our discipline, but he demonstrated how to do it with ethics, professionalism, honor, and respect.
