How long should I keep an ad running, before turning it off?
For facebook ads. I have had a few ads running but was curious on how you know when to turn an ad off, as I think my problem has been turning the ads off too early. Also, how long is the learning phase? When can I expect sales if it goes well? Is it normal that an ad has a higher CPM in the beginning? I'm thinking of sending people to a price calculator page, is that a good idea? I have seen competitors do it and it worked. My budget is $35 a day in Denmark for a web agency, where I sell websites.

I usually let new campaigns run for about a week. It really depends on if you have data or not though. Fresh ad account and new pixel might take a week or two to start getting dialed. There are so many different ways to advertise, I have a web design client who made $70,000 last month from a couple grand in ad spend.

@Rafael Domi The biggest issue that you're most likely running into is that these businesses don't know how to handle leads from cold traffic. For example, Meta ads are different than Google ads. With Google all the traffic's gonna be warm and they're all gonna be in market because they are looking for that specific product or service. Right now they're not necessarily looking for it. They're interested in it. The ad has gotten them to think about it so it comes down to the business to sell them and understand that I actually handle cold traffic and sell them in the right way. My recommendation is to try to find businesses who already have some sort of good sales team in place or good sales process. My recommendation for the actual ads themselves are try to add more qualification questions that are more direct and allow the businesses to understand exactly where these people are. Ask about their timeline. Ask about how much money they're willing to spend on this, have different option selections for what their budget range is. Landing pages work, but you need to be good at designing the landing pages because you can't just have a crappy landing page. They need to be nice clean efficient. Lovable is good at this right now.
