Hey All! Just wanted to let you know that if you click on the classroom tab (next to community at the top of the screen) and click on the Beginner Course that is posted there, you will find 10 different modules in that class! We will be adding new classrooms soon, but want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to learn (or get a refresher) on some of the basics.

Can you imagine quilting without a rotary cutter? 😳 The world’s first rotary cutter was invented in 1979 by Yoshio Okada, founder of OLFA Corporation in Japan. His simple-but-brilliant idea was to replace the traditional cutting motion of scissors with a rolling circular blade—making it much faster and easier to cut fabric accurately. Paired with an acrylic ruler and self-healing cutting mat, the rotary cutter completely changed the way quilters cut fabric—and today, it’s hard to imagine a quilting room without one! Fun fact: Okada was also the inventor of the world’s first snap-off blade cutter. Apparently, the man really had a thing for making our lives easier one sharp blade at a time. 😂
