The Adirondack Pack Basket
Putting this here to give me a push to start on my Adirondack pack basket. These aren’t mine, they are pics from a seasoned weaver (Jill Choate). I have her pattern kit for one of these packs in orange, purple and teal. Will keep you posted. I’m nervous.

Ambitious project and your work looks amazing to me. Love the colors. I totally agree that so many patterns are short on explanations and directions are confusing. Your perseverance is inspiring.
Sun Hat Workshop is Here!
Hello lovely weavers! The Sun Hat workshop has just gone live, and just in time for the weekend! Woohoo! You can find it in the Classroom. The video sessions will guide you through the techniques you will need to complete your hat. You will need to rely on the instruction manual pretty heavily for sizing and for specific notes as you move through construction. I did my best to create an accurate size guide that will fit a wide range of sizes. Please note this is a guideline, not hard and fast rules as heads and hats can be many different shapes and sizing for this project isn't a precise science. If you run into problems feel free to share them in the Get Help community tab and I will do my best to assist you. Sharing photos of your issues is always super helpful. You can include photos in your question posts if you like. Thank you all for your excitement and patience for this workshop! I'm super excited to be sharing it. A lot of love and mental gymnastics went into making this one. Baskets don't usually have to end up being specific sizes, so it took all my garment construction experience to work out how to communicate creating a good fit😁. Happy weaving!

Pictures of these hats and the ladies wearing them are giving me itchy fingers to get going on one. Can we add more than 24 hours to some days???
Poll: Natural vs. Dyed?
Do you prefer working with natural or dyed basketry materials? A. Natural all the way for me! B. Dyed - I love color, the more saturated the better. C. A mix, but I prefer more muted, nature-inspired color. D. It depends on the project. Don't pin me down😋 This poll is for fun - but it will also tell us what to focus on, so the more people that chime in, the better. Waffling and paragraphs of explanation are welcome - we love verbal processing around here🤔💬💬💬

Between C and D. My home is mostly browns and creams with color added in accents which can be easily changed out. I love earth tones , forest and ocean, but holidays are a favorite and I decorate to the season. Basketry now allows me a new avenue of adding color, be it subtle or bright.
