Landed my first customer
So, I just landed my first customer last week. It’s a very simple project, but at least I’m getting paid for it — finally! I found my client on AirTasker, a platform that helps people get assistance with all kinds of tasks in Australia. I had to negotiate the price, as the initial offer was quite low. Even though I was competing with other developers, I was confident that my skills were more than enough to complete the work quickly and efficiently. The customer initially wanted to use some “mystic” frameworks for a simple project that could be done with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I still managed to convince her to let me build it in React — because, why not? 😄 So, thanks to Hayk, I can finally say that I’m earning money through development — and that makes me happy. Just 8 months ago, I was struggling to build a simple JavaScript carousel, and now I’ve landed my first customer. Don’t lose hope, keep grinding, and keep coding! Cheers !

Congrats @Alex Helm 🥳
How Basil landed a new role and negotiated +20% more in 1 month
Congrats to @Basil Gubara who landed a new developer role within a month of joining our program and even negotiated a +20% salary increase on top of what was set as the maximum offer. Watch this to break your limiting beliefs about the whole “market is oversaturated” nonsense and get inspired by what’s possible when you’re truly committed. Because developers who are committed to mastery are always in demand, no matter how bad the market is or how far AI advances.

Knowing all the required concepts for each topic will be very helpful. Sometimes I just don't know if my knowledge is enough or if I'm missing something.
How to use Git & GitHub for Collaboration
In yesterday's session, I shared my daily Git and GitHub workflow, and essential commands like committing, creating branches, pushing, and resolving conflicts. Below you can find the replay of the session, which will help you to understand how Git works rather than memorizing commands. In the upcoming session, we'll learn the tools that help you work with it faster, like aliases and AI, to streamline the process. If you have any pro tips when working with Git, please share them below this post. Check out the calendar for Part 2, where we will cover advanced workflows, aliases, and how to use AI to speed up your process when working with Git.
