Question for fellow authors...
If you could go back and give yourself one piece of advice before publishing your very first book, what would it be? For me, it would be to focus on building relationships with readers from the beginning, not just finishing the manuscript. I'm curious to hear your answer. What's the one thing you wish you had known sooner?

@Stephen Shapiro Stephen, that’s a fascinating approach. I really like how you’re thinking beyond the book itself and creating an experience that continues the relationship with readers. Providing value first is such a powerful way to build trust and keep readers engaged. The QR code idea is a great example of turning a book into more than just a one-time read it becomes a connection point with your audience. Thanks for sharing this insight! Have you found that this approach has helped you build a stronger reader community around your books?

@Serena Pier I couldn't agree more, Serena. That's such an important lesson, and I think many authors don't realize it until after they've published. Writing the book is a huge achievement, but building relationships with readers and fellow authors is what helps keep a book growing over time. I've published 16 books myself, and I've found that consistent reader engagement makes a real difference. Thanks for sharing your perspective! I'm curious what genre do you write, and how has your networking journey been so far?
Question for fellow authors...
As a new member here, I'm curious to learn from everyone. What's one lesson about writing or publishing that you wish you had known before you started? I'm still learning every day, and I think conversations like this can help both new and experienced authors. Looking forward to reading your answers!
