One for the big players in the game...
Scaling. Talk to me. ▪️For those that have grown a store from a couple hundred items to over 1000, how long did this process take you? ▪️Did you gradually increase your daily listing goal as stock and cashflow allowed, focused on listing more than you sell each day or was there another method that allowed you growth?📊 ▪️Did you set a percentage of your payouts for reinvesting into the business and paying yourself, and did this change as you grew?💲 ▪️How did you accommodate the growing inventory; and when did you decide that investing in more space/units/sheds was the right thing to do?📦 Any advice for a small player trying to grow, but frustrated at how long it's taking would be much appreciated🫶

@Bianca Challoner I see it as having a target to hit, why pay for something your not going to use, it's a commitment we're making to ourselves. For me the important thing is to not loose sight of quality over quantity.

@Mohammed Kabeer if there was one brand I would happily only sell it would be M&S, Great product, solid seller and great variety !

@Pamela Powell if you have I hope you had a pleasant experience!! Don't care if I sold it for a quid or a hundred the same care and attention to detail is taken in every piece, I'm 💯 certain everyone else is exactly the same !

@Simon Smith coming from a live selling starting point to understandimg the sheer power of prelisting higher value items really can't be underestimated, different products have different audiences, selling Seasalt, Monsoon and all the other great brands we offer to our customers for a fraction of their true resale value is a lesson I have learned the hard way. Having a captive, regular and dedicated live customer based audience who knows what they are looking does not yet compete to the selling value we can get from with an item that's photographed well with an accurate description. Maybe in the future it might, but for now it's two completey different sales models, I think other live sellers will have the same thoughts but always happy to be proved wrong !
Back on the horse 🐎
Finally got out of my own head and self doubts and recorded another crime video. 0 expectations when it comes to views comments or success of the video instead working on the next one already 🙏

@James Bolding as Andy Warhol said ............
Is depop really only for Y2K stock ??
Not had a sale on depop for nearly 4 months but 2 sales in 48 hours both for the asking price and both completely different. First one on Monday for a size 12 Paisley print Misumi dress and the second today for a size 18 oliver bonas waistcoat neither of which seems Y2K'ish to me ......THE POWER OF CROSSLISTING COMPELLS YOU !!!!

One of the many big takeaways I have taken from James Clear's excellent book is to commit to listing an absolute minimum of one item a day, its a commitment I have made to my business even when i have a mountain of other things to do. At the moment I'm fully focused on my cashflow, that means absolutely hammering the lives and getting as much cash into the business as possible. This means if I can only list one thing it has to be really special..... Todays is a proper banger, a Woolovers 100% Linen paint brush stroke dress in a size 22. The vinted listing is here https://www.vinted.co.uk/items/9572105789-woolovers-pocket-pinafore-dress-multi-linen-womens-22-nwt

@Simon Smith certain things need to be on the must do list ! I'm really fortunate in terms of vinted, went pro about 6 months ago and never been flagged for selling NWT, I do a mix of about 50/50 new to Preloved and have a lot of positive reviews and never any complaints about our stock so I don't know if that helps. The question of commercial selling Vs business selling is still something that keeps me on my toes so I am careful to keep a good balance

@Julie Smith there are so many lessons we can take from other industries, at the end of the day we're finessing a process. All we're doing is suppling many different products through the same channel
