What Is One Piece of Advice You Wish Someone Had Given You Earlier in Life?
We all learn lessons the hard way. Sometimes it is about work.Sometimes relationships.Sometimes retirement.Sometimes simply learning what really matters. If you could sit down with your younger self for five minutes, what is the one piece of advice you would give? Mine would be: "Don't wait for a crisis before making time for people who matter." I'd love to hear yours. Your experience might be exactly what someone else in this community needs to hear today. "It doesn't have to be big. It just has to matter."

The Cup of Tea That Changed Everything
Many years ago, during my time in policing, I learned something important. People don't always remember what you said. They don't always remember what you did. But they often remember how you made them feel. Sometimes the most powerful act of kindness isn't grand or dramatic. It's simply taking the time to sit down with someone, listen to them, and let them know they're not alone. A cup of tea. A phone call. A few minutes of your time. Small things. Yet those small things can create ripples that spread far beyond what we ever see. That's one of the reasons I wrote The Ripple Effect. Because kindness rarely ends with the person who receives it. It often continues through the people they later help. Discussion Question What is the smallest act of kindness someone has shown you that you still remember today? I'd love to hear your stories. Caring and Sharing – Kindness Costs Nowt, But It's Worth a Fortune.

Still Needed
"One of the saddest things I hear from retirees is: 'I don't feel needed anymore.' I disagree. Experience, wisdom and life lessons are needed now more than ever."

The Retirement Myth
"Retirement is often sold as endless holidays and freedom. Yet many people tell me the hardest challenge isn't financial—it's finding purpose."
