In Wales rules changed for anti-discrimination rules wich costs 36 pound per house
You will no doubt have been hearing a lot in the press and on social media regarding the upcoming implementation of the Renters Rights Act 2025 and all of the changes it is going to bring. Well, the good news for all landlords in Wales is that the act does not apply here! We went through our major changes back in 2022 when the Renting Homes Wales Act came into force. Whilst the major changes from the Renters Rights Act do not apply; there are a couple of things that will be changing which relate to anti-discrimination rules, and as such, we will need to send out a new written statement to all tenants notifying them of the changes. We have to do this between the 1st and 14th of June for all existing tenancies but cannot send it earlier as the exact wording is still being finalised. As you know we try to keep costs for our landlords down to a minimum, but we are going to have to charge a one off admin fee of £36 (inc VAT) per property to cover the amount of work required in a short space of time to keep all landlords compliant. If you could confirm by this Friday 5pm that you are OK for us to proceed it would be much appreciated. Any questions let me know.
