My want for a Warm drink is interferring.
I really enjoy the soup and stew recipes, they are delicious. I really would like more ideas for a warm morning drink, during these winter mornings. I seem to be in a rebellious funk about reading, I do not understand why I am responding this way. I want to read and hear the messages, but then I procrastinate and end up doing something else. My reading time and quiet time has really been falling off. This is not like me. I ususally am up, get my morning coffee, and go straight to my quiet space and enjoy my time with the Lord. What is going on?? Any insights will be helpful. Why am I allowing myself to be manipulated like this?? The Lord say, " Not by power, not by might, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord." I believe this is a spiritual battle, for sure. I am disgusted with myself for allowing myself to succumb to it. Today is a new day and I will push thru this to be with my Father and hear His word today, for me. Where is my warm drink?!!

THank you All for your thoughtful responses. Strength to you as we head into our last week. I am behind but am looking forward to continuing the Daniel Fast past the 21 days as well as catching up on the readings. I hope Ms Susan keeps the sight up past the 25th so this can be done. I still am having difficulty finding the link, though. Crazy.
Update from Home: Heat Restored and Then Another Adventure
Hello, Faith Driven Life Community! 🌟 I wanted to share an update for those of you who’ve been following my little saga. After being without heat since December 17th, I am thrilled to report that my gas-powered heat was finally fully restored this past Monday! 🎉 Now, I can keep the house warmer (thank goodness, because it’s still bitterly cold here in Ellensburg—27 degrees as I write this!) and enjoy cooking again with my gas range. I woke up yesterday morning so grateful for the warmth and functioning kitchen, but wouldn’t you know it—at 7:30 a.m., the electricity went out due to equipment failure at the power company. While the heat and gas range were fine, everything else—lights, computers, and all those devices we rely on daily—were completely shut down. Since my computer is central to my work, I was essentially out of commission until the power came back on later in the afternoon. Crazy times, right? Sometimes all you can do is laugh instead of getting frustrated or upset. And laugh I did! 😊 I think everything is finally in order now, and I’m praying for smooth days ahead. Thank you for your prayers, your patience, and for being part of this amazing community. It’s moments like these that remind me how grateful I am for all of you. Stay warm, stay blessed, and keep shining bright! With joy and gratitude,Susan Gregory

Praise the Lord for professionals that know how to restore the things we need in our homes to make them more comfortable and functional. I can empathize with your loss of heat in the winter, as we went thru that ourselves and our internal temperature in our home was 27 degrees---bitterly cold. But not for weeks, like you; you're just so thankful for warmth again and a sense of normalicy. It goes give one pause to think of persons in third world countries or socialistic countries whose governments do not care for the people's comfort, food availabilities, or any concerns like our country does. I am so relieved for you, Susan to be able to enjoy the simplest pleasure such as heat!! Praise the Father.

It would be nice if the link for the daily messages, weekly messages could be put at the end of the daily prayer. Could that be possible. That way people can click straight to the weekly messages. Thank you.
