Pulling Order Data from Shopify
Hey everyone! Thought I'd share something that helped when I was starting out. The niche we were in had a lot of different suppliers so it was difficult keeping track of all of our orders so we wanted one place to see the status of every order and arrange our data in a very specific way. While there were tools that directly exported data into Google Sheets or Airtable, there were either problems getting the data immediately on demand, or a lack of flexibility in organizing the data how we wanted. This is where automation came in to save us a lot of time and allowed us to take control of our data and order management: 1. Start by getting Mesa from the Shopify app store. 2. Create a workflow sending new records into your choice of data storage when an order is created like in the screenshot. We use Airtable but you can use Google Sheets as well. 3. Finally, structure the data that best suits your needs, this keeps you from pulling unecessary data and ordering the fields/columns exactly how you want.
