Day 1 - Newsletter Automation #AIChallenge
1. Spent this session building a fully branded newsletter automation that researches a topic, writes the content, and sends a polished HTML email from a single prompt. For my second version I fed it my actual brand kit, voice profile, and one of my Substack articles and asked it to rewrite the article as a newsletter in my voice. Really happy with how it came out. 2. Working from the MD file is what made it click for me. It made the whole process feel structured and intentional. I actually stopped and read it before starting because I want to understand what is happening behind the scenes. If something breaks I want to know where to look. That mindset shift alone made this feel different from just running a prompt and hoping for the best. 3. What became clear to me is the importance of clearly voicing where you want to see consistency. 4. Nothing jumps out as something I would change. What I do see is where I am taking this next. I am already planning to use this for monthly community updates. That is the next move! 🚀 Super excited to jump into Day 2... And yes. The key to amazing chocolate cake is boiling water. 🤣

7 Day - Intro 👋🏽
Hey everyone! I’m MarKesha. Gen X builder, been at this for a few months now. I have shipped actual tools and apps using AI, no code, and a lot of late nights. Still working on landing that first paying client outside of family so I am here to tighten up the foundation and build with some intention. Looking forward to seeing what everyone is working on! 🚀🔥

@Alex Keiller I'm pushing!
The real problem with AI slop.
So I'm sure you guys have heard the term "AI slop", and everyone sorta defines it differently. Maybe you think it's those TikToks of AI-generated fruits going on dates. Maybe it's infographics with misspelled words. Maybe it's something else entirely. But I want to talk about it in the context of communication. Internal, external, content you put out into the world. I write my LinkedIn posts with AI. My agent knows my business, how I write, how I speak. That's just how I work now. And there's nothing wrong with that. I think everyone should be using AI to write if it makes them more efficient. But this isn't a binary yes or no. It's a spectrum. Sometimes AI can draft and send automatically. Most of the time, I want it to just draft. Then I review. If someone sends me an email with em dashes everywhere, I don't actually care at all that they used AI. The fact that I can clearly tell it's AI-generated isn't the problem. What I do start asking is: → Did they proofread this? → Is this completely accurate? And subconsciously, I might start losing trust. Not just in the email but in the person who sent it. Our job here has changed from writer to reviewer. This quote has really stuck with me: "You can outsource your thinking, but you can never outsource your understanding." When your name is attached to the content, you take credit if it lands, as you should. But that also means you need to take accountability if it's incorrect. Taste and reviewing are becoming more important than ever. AI is super intelligent and powerful, but I don't want to see a world where we trust AI so much, that we stop reviewing things, and then the human on the other end of the content starts losing trust in us. That's why even though I write with AI, and people know that, I still try my best to disguise it and make it sound as "Nate" as possible. Check out the LinkedIn post I just wrote about this HERE

Awesome work @Antra Verma 👏🏽🎉
Day 1 Newsletter build.
Hi everyone! 👋 I’m excited to share my Day 1 win: building my first newsletter using Claude Code. I learned a ton through the process—how Claude Code works, what goes into creating a newsletter from scratch, and where there’s room for improvement. Since this was my first time building something like this, it was a great hands-on experience. Honestly, I’m pretty impressed with how capable the AI is. The result turned out better than I expected—but as a beginner, I’m sure I’ve missed things I could improve. I’d really appreciate any feedback or suggestions on how I can make the newsletter better. Thanks in advance! 🙌
