@Bob Heinemann, thanks for The Bass Corner! Hi, I'm Mark from the greater Atlanta, GA area. I'm a passionate music listener with my favorite genre being Progressive Rock. Also like Classic Rock, Hard Rock, and some metal. My guilty pleasure genre is funk. I'm drawn to the rhythm section in songs, and something in me just felt the call of the bass. Last November I bought a Squier Affinity PJ and have been having a lot of fun. As for obstacles, my fingers are short, so moving around has proven tricky. I'm slowly getting the hang of micro-shifting. The other difficulty I face is speed--16th notes at anything over ~100bpm feels impossible right now.
