Welcome to Premove Academy Read This First
Welcome! If you’re here, it means you want to improve at chess in a practical, consistent way not just watch content and forget it. This post explains how this community works and how to get the most value from it. What Premove Academy Is About Premove Academy is a learning-first chess community focused on: - Better decision-making - Stronger thinking habits - Practical improvement (not theory overload) You don’t need to be advanced. You don’t need to be active every day. You just need to show up honestly. How You Actually Improve Here Improvement here happens through 3 simple things: 1️⃣ Daily Community Posts You’ll see one post per day — questions, mini lessons, puzzles, or reflections. You don’t need to write essays.A short comment is enough. Commenting helps: - Lock ideas into memory - Build consistency - Keep the community alive 2️⃣ Classroom (Structured Learning) The Classroom is where lessons live in a clear path: - Thinking process - Tactics - Middlegames - Endgames - Practical improvement You can go at your own pace. Community posts will often reference Classroom lessons. 3️⃣ Interaction > Perfection This is important: ❌ You don’t need the “right” answer❌ You don’t need perfect analysis ✅ Share your thinking✅ Ask questions✅ Learn out loud Chess improvement is messy — that’s normal. 🤝 Community Guidelines (Simple Ones) - Be respectful - No rating shaming - Help others when you can - Stay curious That’s it. Your First Action Comment below: - Your current rating (or estimate) - One thing you want to improve most Welcome to Premove Academy.Let’s think better — one move at a time

1500 and I’d like to get really good at the fundamental principles
Simplifying to a winning endgame
Happy with this todays game Game link Just finished this game — I missed a couple of strategic ideas along the way (I saw them pushing there b pawn as an issue for my knight but I didn’t think to push a pawn and prevent it but then they traded that away for me), but overall I’m pleased with how it turned out — especially the knight fork and exchange sacrifice at the end. Any thoughts?

What’s One Chess Habit You’d Like to Build?
What is one chess habit you think you should start applying to improve your game? It can be anything, from reviewing your games, solving puzzles daily, to managing your time better over the board. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Being consistent with training and playing games, I’m doing well at the moment and doing lots of puzzles but I would like to write an actual plan of how I should spend my time
Lessons Canceled This Week
All lessons planned for this week are canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. I appreciate your understanding, and I’m still available for any questions, suggestions, or chess-related comments you may have. Thank you for your patience and support!

No worries, life gets in the way sometimes. I feel like I have actually played okay in the last week so I’ll try and keep it up for next week as I’m normally embarrassed to look at my games 😂

Welcome
Hi everyone 👋 Welcome to Chess Power! My name is Srdjan, I’m a FIDE Master and your host here. This community was created for us to grow together through chess – to learn, practice, and inspire each other. 🏆♟️ 👉 We’ll soon be starting group lessons (3 times per week), but this space is also here for: - asking questions - sharing games and analyses - fun challenges & mini tournaments - support and connection with other players - 💬 To kick things off, I’d love for you to introduce yourself in the comments: 1. Where are you from? 2. What’s your current chess goal? (e.g. improve openings, raise rating, play with more focus…) Looking forward to getting to know you and sharing the game we all love!

The group sessions are great and Srdjan is a natural coach with great material and helpful practical advice, I’m finding a lot of benefit from the sessions already.
