I use this framework when I’m working with high-performing clients who feel “stuck” in invisible loops. It’s not therapy or mindset work — it’s a precise way to help someone see how they think, not just what they think... There are many more questions, but these ones will give you huge insight into how they think.... Every time I’ve used it, clarity happens fast..... .....Because the truth is — the best coaching (and the cleanest sales) doesn’t come from having answers. It comes from asking in the right order — so the mind reveals its own structure..... Below is a ready-to-use protocol I share with advanced coaches and facilitators. It’s practical, humane, and moves from surface → system → signal → self. Use it verbatim or adapt the language to your own rhythm. ⚙️ 0) Set the Field (30 seconds) “Let’s explore this at a few levels — surface, structure, desire, identity. I’ll go slow; you can take your time.” Then pause. Breathe. Let answers arrive before the next question. 🪞 1) Dissociation & Awareness — move the problem out of the person Goal: Reduce threat; increase perspective. 1. “When you look back, what was the problem that brought you here?” 2. “How do you know it was a problem — from where you stand now?” 3. “If you described it as something that used to happen, how would you put it?” 4. “What changed in you just by saying ‘it was’ instead of ‘it is’?” 🧩 Coach note: The word ‘was’ quietly separates identity from symptom and lowers defenses. 🧠 2) Structure & Logic — see the machine, not the mess Goal: Map triggers, loops, and payoffs without judgment. 1. “How was that a problem for your results, relationships, or wellbeing?” 2. “What tends to happen right before it happens?” 3. “What reliably follows after?” 4. “If that pattern had a positive intent, what would it be protecting or providing?” 5. “What part of you benefits from keeping a piece of it a little longer?” 6. “What meaning did you make about yourself when this used to happen?”
