My introduction....2.5
Greetings everyone, I am from San Diego, and I'm 25 years old, my hobbies are thrifting, upcycling, studying classic menswear and WW2, amateur cobbler and sewist, studying philosophy, sartorialist, and cooking Italian, Japanese, and other types of dishes as well as baking. I also manage a small eBay store where I sell a number of clothing items that are no longer part of my current style as well as other stuff to make more room in my closet lol. My current goals are to improve my mental health (as its been affecting my ability to maintain a stable job), get a stable job, and find a partner who I can share this journey of life with, and I'm thinking of starting my own mens wear accessories, tho I find it difficult to focus on it since im always getting new ideas for dress shirt fits, certain suit cuts, tie widths and lengths, etc. although I've been to two small business events so far; either was useful in providing me the right type of info I need hopefully this 3rd one will be the charm. If you would like to chat with me about anything please feel free to message me :)

Don't mix Business and Pleasure
I've been really busy lately from rearranging most of the house furniture, attending small business events, interviews, and I may or may not have been flirting with the receptionist from said interview while I waited for it to start lol, and meeting with old freinds who I haven't seen in a long time, and lots of errands, I mostly just made this post incase anyone was wondering what ive been up too. The suit pic is from the interview, the DB blazer was just me trying on an H&M stuff because I wanted to know how the fit, fit me, and the cardigan sweater pic was from a Uniqlo store that had just opened, I mainly went in to buy some socks, take care everyone.

@Jason Rochester I know I would never buy h&m I was just curious of the "Coupe fit" they had on the jacket, its basically skinny fit and tight.
Male Role Model Inspiration: Fictional
Sadly in this modern world, there is a lack of positive male role models, but I feel in communities like this, it’s finally making a much-needed come back. For those of us like myself who had very few or no strong positive male role models, we often turn to media (social media, TV, movies, etc.) for inspiration and direction. While we may often run the risk of becoming a carbon copy rather than our own flair of unique (or that just comes later), and I’ve seen several people here post about their inspirations (very commonly James Bond), while I certainly share my own fondness for Bond, I’d like to post about another. For those of you familiar with the TV series on USA Network from 2008-2014, there was the clever comedy crime drama called “White Collar” starring Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, Tiffani Thiessen, Alexandria Daddario, and several other greats. I’m not usually one for crime dramas (more of a Comedy/Sci-Fi/Horror person), but if a show’s good enough outside preferred genres, I’ll give it a try (like A Gentleman in Moscow I’ve mentioned recently). It's basically about a white collar criminal who is brought in as a consultant for the FBI to help solve cases, and I believe you can stream this on either Hulu or Netflix. I've rewatched the series around 2-3 times, and probably will again soon. What I like most about the show, and especially “Neal Caffrey”, is of course: - his fashion sense, - his intelligence (art history, painting/artistic ability, culinary and wine connoisseur, legal knowledge, knowledge of security systems, intel recon, situational awareness, and being generally well-read), - he's thoughtful and romantic (even beyond his own interests), and - generally conducting himself like a gentleman (borderline con-artist, but with his own moral code). The show came to me at a pivotal point in my life; when transitioning from being into the Goth subculture, and toward really wanting to dress better, be better groomed, get in better shape, and learning how to go about doing more for myself and others to make the most of my life.
