What would you change?
If you could go back in time to the days you were skateboarding as a kid, would you have done anything differently? Would you tell yourself to not quit or was you happy with your life? I’ll go first… I wish I had a camera filming my every move, the jackass skits n skate sessions, damm! Life would be so different now 🤘🛹

When I was a kid I had mostly confidence issues so if there was too many people around I wouldn't skate that much, just hang out. To be honest I'm mostly the same now, i only really go to the skate park if it's quiet or if it gets busy when I'm there I leave 🤦🏻 so that's something I need to work on
Who’s local to you? + Cancelled Event 🥺
Us guys and the north both have a strong pocket of skaters who are local enough to sk8 with. Check the map and see if anyone is available for a sesh. There’s many in the community who are not active enough or engaging, but I guess it’s what you want out of it when you join… the weather certainly helps and hopefully we’ll see more people join and come to the events with the Spring and Summer sun. With only myself, Ian and Fred all from midlands attending Saturdays sesh, we’ve decided to leave the travelling and skate locally, so the Shredenhams event is cancelled. Let me know your thoughts on this one… is the travelling hard, timings or general life not feasible to attend the community meet ups? I’ll be skating Long Lawford in Rugby if anyone is interested in coming 🤘

I can't do most of the events as they happen on Saturdays when I work and it's hard to get cover as my colleague has his son in a Saturday, so can only really do them on a Sunday. I don't mind the traveling as long as it's not ridiculous distance
Anyone skating today?
Bout to go local, it’s dry n sunny but dunno bout temperature 🫣

XC HEMEL : The experience
So I ventured to the indoor park called XC in Hemel Hempstead, and I was pretty Suprised at how good it was, for £25 (x2) people all day access it works out cheaper than some other parks I’ve been too (Baysixty) for example. XC is set out with a Mini ramp, a street section with multiple banks and a euro gap, 1 large vert wall which must be about 30ft wide and acts as a line to the quarter ramp transfers into a resin ramp ! x2 massive bowls and a large halfpipe area. I would say there’s enough space to skate but anymore than 8 - 10 in the indoor park it starts to feel like a crowd and can become a waiting game due to “Rules” on how many people can use a piece of obstacle at a time. My experience summed up : 9/10 - It’s a very friendly environment, good staff and skaters on who I met.

That actually looks pretty sweet. Just over an hour away from me too so could be worth the trip!

I 'manage' a self service car wash. Work 4 days a week. Only a short distance from home and the pay is ok. I have a great work life balance. My boss is a decent fella too so I can't complain really, roll on the warmer weather though 😆
