Hello group 2 !! You're focus rn is Listening/Reading Here's the homework : 1. Watch something (can also be audiobook) 2. Watch again with subtitles or read transcript 3. Write in a notebook as short sentences every new word you learn. 4. Watch again without subtitles I want you to do that everyday and I want you to fill up your notebook with short sentences (when you google a new words, there is gonna be some example of usage, you can use thoses!) the goal is for you to learn not only the word, but the genre of the words and where it is used inside a sentence all at once ! I recommend the TV5 stuff as the transcript is included and they are ordered by levels ! Send me a message when it starts getting easier !!

La prononciation des LL
Salut! Today you're learning that ILL usually sounds like like "iye", but there's a small group of important exceptions where it stays a plain L sound. Video below ILL = "iye" sound paille, veille, feuille, bouillir, cueillir, cuillĂšre, vieillir, cĂ©dille, famille, fille, vanille ALL, ELL, OLL, ULL, YLL = normal L sound salle, belle, folle, pull, syllabe Exceptions — ILL stays a plain L sound ville, mille, million, milliard, millionnaire, tranquille, Achille, capillaire, pupille, distiller, osciller A note on the last three: many QuĂ©bĂ©cois speakers do pronounce pupille, distiller, and osciller with the "iye" sound in casual speech Can you make a few sentences using today's words? Write them in the comments below!

Donc, on n’utilise pas le mot milliard au QuĂ©bec ?
Hi
Hi I'm Emma. My late paternal grandmother was French-Canadian (and I vaguely remember a few words but want to get more fluent to be able to travel to Quebec (since I'm the only one in my family that did not get to travel to Canada as an older kid/young adult) and be able to do more genealogical research on that side of my family.
