telling people about catholicism
today, I told so many of my friends about me going to mass service and told then my strong eagerness to convert ti catholicsm. My mom and dad are completely chill about it, they are both baptist/non denominational and they won't love me less when I convert, which i appreciate it. I told a Catholic friend of mine and she was so happy and I also told a protestant friend of mine, he was skeptical of catholicism because he doesn't know much about it because of us praying to Mary and saints, I'm praying for him. and I just opened up to a very on fire protestant who seems strongly opposed to Catholicsm which is sad, but I'm gonna tell you guys his reply. Finally got some weight of my shoulders. All praise to God

Mass
Yoo guys so I'm gonna go to mass on Sunday, so I wanna know how should I dress. At my old church you could dress any way you want, shorts, shirt etc. In a Catholic church do you think that I should dress up in a suit? Or will something like a pair of jeans do they job? Please let me know guys!

Introduction
Hi guys, my name is Mark. I'm currently 15 born and raised Christian and attended in your typical non denominational church with crazy lighting, rock shows etc. I never really enjoyed those services because the message would be poorly delivered and I got baptized at that church when I was around 9. something that I regret. I'm looking for something more authentic such as the Catholic church and I've found one in my area, I'll gladly attend mass(?) on Sunday. I'm completely new to Catholicism and know nothing about it. confession etc are a new concept to me. I'm not gonna participate in lent this year because I'm not officially catholic yet but I feel like it's the truth and I want to turn my parents from baptist/non-denominational to Catholicism(that is if thats the truth). I'm a young boy who struggles with lust, being consistent in reading my Bible and slipping out a cuss word on accident. Hope i can grow my faith and that you guys can support me through this spiritual journey

@Peter Tsemberides Thanks Peter, I think that it's only a matter of time til I turn Catholic. I really love the faith and the passion of others, going to my first mass on Sunday!
Lent
Hi guys, I wasn't planning on participating in Lent because I haven't converted to Catholicism yet. For me, it's just a matter of time until i convert(hopefully by Sunday after mass) but as I was reading my Bible, in Luke Ch4, it mentions how Jesus fasted for 40 days. Do you think God is telling me to participate in lent? I'm kinda scared of fasting especially as an athlete and also because I'm not catholic yet

@Fr. Nicholas Fleming thank you, does this mean I have to abstain from meat? as an athlete it's pretty hard
