Daily Post: Train Your Mental Skills in Practice to Have Them Available In Competition
“If you are not deliberately improving your mental skills in practice, then your mental game is unlikely to improve when it matters most in competition” Mental strength, just like technical skill, physical ability, or tactical awareness, must be trained. You cannot expect to suddenly become more composed under pressure, more confident after a mistake, more focused when tired, or more resilient when things are going against you if you have never practiced those skills. Practice is where you build the habits that competition demands. Every training session is an opportunity to practise staying present, controlling your emotions, responding positively to mistakes, maintaining confidence, making good decisions under pressure, and resetting quickly after setbacks. When competition arrives, you don’t magically rise to the level of the mental game you wish you had… you rely on the mental habits you have consistently trained. Train your mind in practice, so it becomes an asset in competition. Because when the pressure is on, your mental skills need to be automatic, not something you are trying to learn for the first time.

How would you replicate that Warren effectively, I bet most of us hit 100 balls at the range but the last 30 are when we are tired, less focused etc; but that’s not necessarily good practice
