Auction Business Platforms for Benefit Auctioneers
What value added, yet still cost effective, auction platforms do you recommend for small companies who do both benefit AND traditional auctions- particularly real estate properties and their associated estate items? I'm in a smaller rural area with many small non-profits who don't have the staff and technical bandwith to pay, learn, set up, and navigate the technology of an online fundraiser auction platform just for one event. They are asking if we can run everything through a benefit auction account of our own and simply disperse their funds to them afterwards. Please advise. I don't wish to pay for both an AuctionZip, HiBid, etc, etc type platform for my traditional auctions AND a separate benefit auction platform. Thanks!

@Aaron Klesick Yes, I agree and that’s precisely what I’m trying to avoid. Thank you. I really don’t want to set up anyone’s software (including my own- smile) and definitely don’t want to run their auctions through the platform I choose for my traditional auctions. I just hate to tell them I can’t help or, be forced to do strictly in person benefit auctions for them when I know they won’t get the turnout that an online auction will. For reference, one of their whole counties has only 8,000 people.

@Bobby D. Ehlert Thank you. QST: Do you offer a package to help your folks set up their platform? They can’t/ don’t want to set it up themselves, and want me to do it for them but I don’t want to… and if I did it, I would want to be paid at least something for my PITA fees and time.
Paddle Raise only event last night
Just had a great event without an Auction…eek! Raised 140% more than goal! This is why you hire a professional asker not just auctioneer. Also testing out some new gear, the Small Rig mobile monitor to help me frame my shot. So far so good! Maybe we’ll do another raffle for one of these;) https://amzn.to/4srgykH Hope everyone is having a great fundraising season and impacting some amazing organizations…one bid at a time;) Happy Friday!

AMAZING!
I (finally) got my Auctioneer's license!
I asked the department to open up a case this morning as I passed my exam back in January. Two hours later I received a phone call that it was processed and my wall license and pocket card were in my email. Someone dropped the ball somewhere but all's well that ends well! ☺️

Vulnerability Post
So thought I would post and be vulnerable for a minute. This weekend I entered my first auction competition, and it was a learning experience to say the least. Apparently, I haven't been listening as close to Bobby as I should be lol. After being ill most of the week I almost chickened out and didn't do the competition even though I was feeling better. Maybe I should have trusted those instincts, but I didn't and man did I learn the lesson. I got up there and nailed the intro, but the selling went south. I began to cough a little which caused me anxiety mixed with the nerves I already had, and it was like I couldn't breathe to chant. Needless to say, I struggled through, but I said all that to say this, practice makes progress and no it didn't go as I hoped this time; however I was there for the experience, and I certainly got one and I will regroup and try again. SOMEDAY!!

WOW! YOU ROCK!!!! Just getting up there- never mind while being completely sick, was the WIN! Do you know how many able bodied healthy auctioneers wouldn't have gotten up there to save their life! I sure hope you are not kicking yourself. You are my hero dude!

Sequencing your live auction
So I just got done working on sequencing a live auction for Thursday night and got a text asking where do you think we should put the Spay package that just got donated. The questions we get asked sometimes just have to make you smile. What is the weirdest thing you have sold??? Of course I told them right after the 20 bales of premium hay. 😃
