Day 13: Warm and Cool colors
Colors can feel warm or cool, just like nature! β˜€οΈβ„οΈ Warm colors are colors that remind us of the sun and sunsets πŸŒ… think red ❀️, orange 🧑, and yellow πŸ’›. They feel cozy, bright, and full of energy. Cool colors remind us of water, sky, and shade 🌊🌌 think blue πŸ’™, green πŸ’š, and purple πŸ’œ. They feel calm, peaceful, and relaxing. Ted Harrison is an artist I personally admire for his simple landscapes made from squiggly lines and bright happy color combinations. Feel free to Google "TED HARRISON" and find your own artwork to replicate! Have fun with it as always, and comment a picture of your final drawing!

Day 13: Value Sphere
I know this might seem basic or boring, but it’s just one of those things you need to know as an artist and keep in your back pocket! When we draw a sphere (a shape like a ball), we can make it look 3D using light and shadow! βšͺ✨ First, lightly draw your circle. Then imagine a light shining on it πŸ’‘. The part closest to the light will be the brightest, so we leave that area light or add a little white for a highlight. The side farther away from the light will be darker, so we gently shade it with our pencil. ✏️ When we add light, medium, and dark shading, the circle starts to look like a round ball popping off the paper! 🎨

March & April are really busy for me... Im so sad I have fallen behind...
Day 11: shadow & highlights
When we draw a lemon, we don’t just color it yellow, we make it look REAL by adding light and shadow! πŸ‹ First, color your lemon yellow. Then, think about where your light is coming from. The side closer to the light will be brighter, so we use white to add a shiny highlight. On the opposite side (the side away from the light), we add a little purple. Purple is the opposite (complement) of yellow, and when we lightly layer it on top, it makes a beautiful shadow. Light + shadow = a lemon that looks round and 3D! ✨ Try it for yourself and let me know how it goes

Day 11 Shadows & Highlights:
Day 12: TINT
Tint is color +white ❀️Red mixed with🀍 white creates PINK πŸ’— Try blending your colored pencils using little circular motions. Play around with the pressure of your pencil, I colored with hard pressure in the center, then with light pressure on each flower petal. Then going back in with the white color pencil over top. again applying hard pressure in little circular motions. Color pencil blending takes time to master, so just experiment, have fun, and do it your way!

Day 11 Tint...
New life entering 🌞🧑
Not sure if you noticed, but I posted our art lesson around 8pm last night because I was in baby land all day πŸŽ€πŸ’ž My little sister just had her second baby girl named Chrysovalantou aka Chrissy. It so surreal to see a little fragile life enter into the world! Cherishing every little moment of her first few days here on earth! Holding her close to my heart, made me realize that being a mother is the greatest gift of life. Being able to serve and raise your own babies, being able to teach them right from wrong, holding their hearts, leading them through life, being there for them always is such a treasure. She is so beyond precious, tiny little hands formed by God and co-created with the mother's body. Seriously such a crazy phenomenon to think she developed inside my sister's womb. So much power and beauty in creation. A few years ago, I have to admit that I was mad at my little sister for not ever wanting to pursue anything else in life. I thought she was lazy, unmotivated, and lacked disipline. I would put myself on a pedestal and think, "look at me and all my accomplishments in my art career, in my pursuit to creating so much beauty and inspiration in the world through my paintings." For the longest time I've been chasing accolades and worldly success. I've been on a mission to serve the people of the world through sharing art and philosophy. But holding that baby yesterday opened my mind and heart to a new perspective. What if my little sister wasn't "lazy" what if she wasn't "lacking disipline" or "vision" but what if she actually unlocked the secrets to a peaceful and fulfilling life long before I did. She never had to chase arbitrary worldly success, she never had to prove anything to anyone. She just simple wanted to be a mother. And that's what she did. I think there is nuance to this conversation because I believe you can be an amazing mother while still pursuing your own personal vocation. I belive your kids grow up more resilient and stronger when they watch their mother demonstrate work ethic, leadership, and take pride in their own work.

OMG!!! She is a beauty...Ξ½Ξ± σας ΢ησΡι ΞΊΞ±ΞΉ παντα τυχΡρη Ξ½Ξ± Ριναι στην ΢ωη Ο„Ξ·Ο‚πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’— My younger sister was the first one to have a baby as well. And just like you I was always saying you to her "you are too young, but that's what she always wanted." I was in the room through the whole procedure...It was beautiful but I must say VERY stressful & painful too, if you go straight natural. Becoming an aunt was amazing and you will see it too. I used to be at me sister's house every singe day, the love I felt for my nephew was unbelievable. And just like you, my nephew also sparked the mommy in me and decided it's time for us to have a baby... When I was pregnant I said to my husband "Will I love our baby as much as I love our nephew?" LOL little did i know...🀣🀣🀣 So when we had our son, I remember being in the hospital feeling like a goddess, (ask your sister if she feels like one, I truly did). I couldn't believe what had just happened. I was four nights in the hospital and probably slept 3 hours all in all..no joke I was in awe...all the other mommies would be sleeping and I would be breast feeding and singing to my little one, who yes was so fragile. All I wanted to do is, hold him, kiss him and hug him... Even after 3 years, I remember my husband and I would peak in his room and ask "did we actually create this little beautiful human being?" It's a love you do not know you have inside you, a love you cannot describe, a love so precious and yet SO STRONG you would move a mountain if you had to, you would give your life for your little one, if someone was to hurt your baby ...the baby you nourished 9 months inside of you... I am SO HAPPY for you and your sister...ENJOY EVERY minute, they grow up SO fast!!! Tell your sister, whocares if the house gets sloppy, or if she cant wash her hair one day... when ever the baby sleeps she should also get her rest and slowly slowly all three of them will find their daily routine..tell her not to stress, to accept help from the family and to just ENJOY!!!
