The art of self concept: Stop putting out FIRES

Hi! I’m new to Aidan’s community, but I applied his formula right away because it resonated with me immediately. I’m noticing that since I went “all in” with the affirmations and the “until exhaustion” meditations, my old identity (which I call Barbara to dissociate from it) is literally fighting with everything it has to stay afloat. I can clearly see it spamming me with intrusive thoughts, doubts, and intense negative emotions. I’m experiencing this as a literal death of the ego. I have the impression that I’m once again going through a spiritual awakening, because I see the reality around me immediately conforming to my thoughts, and I realize, “wow, all of this is fake!” Anyway, I hope this struggle of Barbara’s comes to an end soon.
