I break the spines. It is sad.

I reread my comfort books when I'm down: the Black Jewels by Anne Bishop, the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris, the Watch books by Sir Terry Pratchett, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, the Fred Saberhagen Dracula books. Then there's rereading your own book--a hundred million times until you get it to where you want it, then reading it again because you can't remember Osian's eye color or Sir Reginald's take on something.

Take care of yourself and those daughters of yours.

Used books and books by independent authors along with a cozy tea shop. We'd have afternoon tea and cream teas and yes, coffee, too. We'd put local artists' works on the walls and sell them as well. Gallery/bookstore/tea shop.
