Cradle Mountain
Hi to the group, hope you are all well, I'm new here and looking forward to exchanging comments and art. this is a painting I done from a trip to Tasmania, the beautiful cradle mountain. Painted with acrylic on canvas.

imprimatura rock landscape progress
I've been wanting to paint more rocks, so here is the early block in stages of a new painting. I used a warm imprimatura to start, then continued to block in general values and color tones. The painting is not finished, but I wanted to show the work in progress. This block in stage is important for defining the value structure and begin to establish a warm and cool color relationship in this rocky landscape. Have you ever used an imprimatura?
