What's been the most challenging part of your developer journey?
Hey everyone! I'm interested in hearing about some of the most challenging parts of your personal dev journey! Personally, one of the most difficult parts was coming to terms with not understanding everything, and feeling lost. This is exactly what leads into imposter syndrome and can really take a toll on you. I've now learned that it's okay to be confused, and that's where personal development happens! You may never feel "ready" enough, but remember, that's FINE! Good luck!

Learning Code in 2026: 3 things I’d focus on immediately
@Marcos Perez made this video on TokTik, and I thought I would share it here. He brings up three really good points. 1. Build tools that you will actually need. 2. Share your work publicly. 3. You don't need to learn everything. I can totally relate to this because when I was learning, I wanted to build something that would help my child at the time learn their multiplication tables. That got me diving into the code. Nowadays, with social media and even this CODE ZONE GROUP, it's a great way to share your work publicly on what you're doing. It gives you encouragement to see other people comment on what you're building and making. And he's definitely right when he talks about you don't need to learn everything, because there's so many different rabbit holes you can go down. I see it so many times: people are like, "Oh, let me learn HTML. Okay, let me go learn React," and that's jumping too quickly, when you need to make sure that you're understanding some of the fundamentals. Only learn what you're trying to accomplish with your application. šŸ‘‰ Watch on TokTik Does any of this resonate with you all? Comment below! šŸ‘‡

@Rob Vanarsdall Will do! Planning on making some more, maybe I can do some sort of early release through skool before it goes live on tik tok.
Another Good TokTik from Marcos Perez
@Marcos Perez just made a TokTik that I think everyone can relate to. He says the following: Most beginners don’t quit coding because it’s too hard. They quit because it doesn’t click fast enough. Because they compare themselves. Because progress feels invisible. If you’re in that phase… you’re not behind. Watch on TokTik to give ā¤ļø What are your thoughts have you felt this way in your coding journey? What is your advice?

Thank you!! It's so easy to compare yourself to others when all you see is their finished product but not the struggle it took to get there. Friendly reminder that everyones timeline is different!
New here šŸ‘‹ looking for advice on next steps
Hi everyone, I’m Mahak.I have basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I’ve recently started focusing more on Python fundamentals to strengthen my overall coding skills. Right now, I’m trying to figure out the best way to move forward whether to keep sharpening the basics, start small projects, or balance both. I’d really appreciate any advice on how you’d approach this stage if you were starting again. Excited to learn from this community and grow step by step .

IMO you should stick to mastering JS and then move into the frameworks. NextJS or just plain React. Pick a stack and stick with it, no need to be boucing around everywhere.
What advice would you give your past self?
Learning to code isn’t easy. Do you have any advice on what to focus on or advice you wish you had when you were just starting?

The journey will be long and painful, but worth it.
