Training Footage 9/25
Some training shots from today’s pull day. One thing I touched on in my session today with Alex was activating your lats in a row, assuming you’re doing that row to focus your lats. Normally I start my session with a bent over row, but lower back was achey so I opted for T-bar. One of my biggest cues when I’m trying to target my lats in a row along with my upper back is internal rotation with my elbows. Trying to “bend the bar” with my hands. This activates your lats and keeps them engaged through the whole movement. Another big thing I see often is people fully stretching their scapula as they get to the end of the stretch. You don’t need to do this, you’re releasing the tension on the muscle and likely causing an ache in your shoulder. Stretch as far as you can WHILE keeping your lats flexed and engaged. Happy lifting

Weekly Update 9/23/26
215lbs this am Sleep has been subpar, so having some digestive inconsistencies and a bit of inflammation. Still happy with the look, I’ve learned to live happy with offseason softness. Blast is going well, androgens are decently high and zero issues. Training is feeling incredible and strength is consistently increasing.

Pull Day: Close-Grip Pulldowns
Warmed up for 3 sets and hit 2 sets of 205lbs for 8 reps. I always try to focus on pulling my scaps down, and then engaging my back once I start pulling down.

I really like the angle you’re pulling at bro, textbook. Only note I’d give you here is to slow down the negative, you’re killing a lot of tension by letting the weight come up for you. Keep your lats engaged the whole time and fight the weight throughout every second of the movement. Good stuff bro
Incline Dumbbell benchpress
Since I do 1 set, I like to go heavy and do my best to control the movement. Definitely get an insane pump after this. Definitely want to go up in dumbbell weight in the future after prep. 1 set x 8 reps

Couple things here to better the movement bro You’re sliding down on the bench almost to the point where you’re right on the edge, so you’re turning the incline movement into a flat movement and losing a lot of stability. Lower the weight a touch, maybe 85’s or 90’s, situate yourself so your entire back is on the pad for a true incline, and focus on stability as you press. Great intensity, the form just needs some cleaning up. Prep is a really high risk time for injuries, so prioritize perfect form over weight.
