โŒ If you donโ€™t lay bricks straight, this is what happens.
Bad alignment, uneven joints, no level โ†’the wall starts to move, crackโ€ฆ and eventually fails. Brickwork isnโ€™t just about making it look good.Itโ€™s about doing it right from the start. One small mistake at the base = a big mess later. Learn it once.Fix it twiceโ€ฆ or rebuild it.

๐Ÿ‘‰ What NO ONE tells you when you start masonry
Most beginners think masonry is just laying bricks. โŒ Wrong. The real challenge is: โ€“ Costly mistakes โ€“ Pro shortcuts (the smart ones ๐Ÿ˜…) โ€“ Fundamentals nobody explains clearly I grew up in this trade. 3rd generation mason Iโ€™ve seen what worksโ€ฆ and what ruins jobs. ๐ŸŽฅ Iโ€™m dropping a TikTok video on this very soon. ๐Ÿ‘‰ In your opinion, whatโ€™s the #1 mistake beginners make in masonry? @Nicolas Caza Hey Nicolas, the most common brick we use these days is clay face brick โ€” especially for houses and residential jobs.Itโ€™s durable, looks clean, and comes in a lot of colors and textures, which is why itโ€™s everywhere. For structural work though, we mostly use concrete blocks (CMU),

One mistake beginners always make in masonry!
Most beginners focus on speed before understanding the basics. in masonry, rushing leads to: - crooked lines - uneven levels - weak joints slow work done right beats fast work done wrong every time.

Why Built into Mason exists
Im a 3rd generation mason. I learned the trade from my familly, actively working on real job sites-not in classrooms and not from online shortcuts. i created Built into Mason because i see to many beginners struggle with the same mistakes-- not because they lack effort, but because no one shows them the fundamentals the right way. this group exists to help you build solid foundations, avoid costly errors, and understand the mindset behind good masonry. -no shortcuts, brick by brick If you're new here, tell me:what made you want to learn masonry?
